Sequim Wa
Wowie Zowie!
Went to Port Hadlock and the wooden boat building school there.
Lots of hand planes chisels and really nice people building beautiful boats
Coming up the 101 toward Port Angeles we hit a bit of a traffic snarl.
We decided to pull a “Captain Parmentier “ and retreat and reverse into victory.
Off the main road onto the chip tracks upward toward the mountain.
We drove and drove, sometimes in search of Dungeness Forks Campground.
After many roads with no numbers or numbers we had no understanding, we ran into a Border Enforcement guy.
Not quite sure what a DHS guy doing drug interdiction was up the side of the mountain.
But there he was
He was hi-balling his truck up the dirt tracks trying to make his way around the traffic.
He pointed us in the right direction and we realized we were approximately 1 mile west of where we started.
We had lost almost 1800 yards by driving 2 hours and who knows how many miles.
But it was fun, and we discovered a great place to go dirt biking.
Now we are in Sequim and eating halibut..
Still no smelt.
Easy to understand road signs
More stuff to eat on the side of the road than you can eat
